| Description | James Harbin was born March 6, 1802 in North Carolina. His parents were probably the son of William Harbin (ca. 1764) of Georgetown, Montgomery County, Maryland, and Lucinda Cummings. James married Mary McDonald about 1822 in Alexander County, North Carolina. She was born about 1804 in North Carolina to Alexander McDonald, Sr., and Margaret Campbell. James and Mary and eight children. Allied surnames of descendants include: Agles, Ashbaugh, Barnes, Behen, Bough, Carrico, Dickey, Goodman, Hinkle, Mattox, McKim, Sisson, etc. Descendants live in Indiana, Kansas, California and elsewhere. | |
